ASILAH
RAMPARTS FACING THE ATLANTIC

ASSILAH
THE WHITE PEARL OF OCEAN
In front of the Ocean, Assilah is a small, picturesque town in northern Morocco, famous for its white façades decorated with colorful murals. These vibrant artworks, often marking galleries or craft shops, are refreshed annually during the Asilah International Cultural Festival, which welcomes artists, intellectuals, and researchers from across the country.
The Medina, primarily residential, is home to artisans selling their crafts, with blue and green window accents enhancing its bright, open atmosphere. The harmonious blend of white houses, ochre city walls, and the soothing sound of the sea has earned Asilah’s Medina UNESCO World Heritage status.
